Carnforth based 35018 British India Line will be hauling The Dalesman this Tuesday, 7th June 2022, and will pass through Ribblehead and Oxenholme Lake District on its trip.
The railtour will depart Chester with a diesel locomotive at 07:32 and will pass through Frodsham (07:46), Warrington Bank Quay (08:03), Wigan North Western (08:28), Leyland (08:48), Preston (09:05), Blackburn (09:39), and Hellifield at 10:28.
35018 British India Line takes over here and will depart at 11:00. From here, the train will pas through Ribblehead (11:24), Garsdale (11:38), Appleby (12:00) and Carlisle at 12:52.
After time in Carlisle, the train will return to Chester via the WCML. It will pass through Penrith North Lakes (15:32), Oxenholme Lake District (16:32), Carnforth South Junction (16:49 – diesel hauled from here), Preston (18:14), Leyland (18:37), Wigan North Western (18:51), Warrington Bank Quay (19:09), Frodsham (19:23) and Chester at 19:47.
