The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) has announced the return of its annual Light Spectacular event with tickets on sale now.

The well-loved heritage railway is anticipating that the event will be extremely popular this year as demand for tickets has already proved to be high.

The event is an audio-visual experience and departs from Pickering station each evening through the October Half-Term from the 22nd to the 30th of October and will run at 6pm and 7.45pm.

The family-friendly event provides an interactive journey hauled by a steam locomotive with tickets priced at £30 per person for the hour-long, illuminated event which runs from Pickering to Levisham station.

Entertainment onboard will see NYMR’s compare, Voice Over Man from the telly box will be getting everyone in the party mood. Passengers are also part of the show via a synchronised flashing wristband worn throughout the journey.

The carriages will be festooned with 17,000 LEDs and from the moment passengers arrive on the platform, spot their glowing train and climb on board, they will be engulfed in colour, light and sound, perfect for the party mood.

The award-winning railway has also revealed the return of some favourite visitor events such as the Annual Steam Gala which is set to run from the 22nd to the 25th of September and Santa Specials which will run on various dates during December.
