The Bahamas Locomotive Society are preparing themselves for a busy weekend ahead, with two locomotives in action.
LMS Jubilee No. 45596 Bahamas, the BLS’ flagship locomotive, is in action on the mainline, running from London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill with a Railway Touring Company tour – timings for which can be found by clicking here.
Also running on the same weekend is National Trust-owned Coal Tank No. 1054, which the Bahamas Locomotive Society are custodians of.
1054 is set to be launched back into traffic at the East Lancashire Railway as part of the Centenary of the L&Y Merger Celebrations.
1054 is set to play a major role in the weekend, which should feature an intensive timetable with both goods and passenger trains.
Both locomotives cannot be in action without the help of BLS volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer with the Bahamas Locomotive Society, you can find out more information on the Bahamas Locomotive Society website.
