LMS ‘Scot’ No. 46100 ‘Royal Scot’ will be passing through York this Wednesday (11th May 2022) as it hauls a special tour to Scarborough.
The Scot will be hauling a tour from Crewe to Scarborough, taking over from diesels at Liverpool Lime Street.
Departing Crewe at 06:40 behind a diesel locomotive, the train will pass through Winsford (06:51), Acton Bridge (07:01), Runcorn (07:12), Liverpool South Parkway (07:28), Edge Hill (07:44) and LiverpooL Lime Street at 07:47.
With 46100 Royal Scot attached, the train will depart at 07:57 and will pass through Huyton (08:18), Newton-le-Willows (08:39), Eccles (08:58), Salford Central (09:10), Manchester Victoria (09:18), Guide Bridge (09:51), Edale (10:58), Grindleford (11:09), Sheffield (11:27), Swinton (11:47), Church Fenton (12:44), York (12:59), Malton (13:28) and Scarborough at 13:57.
After a break in Scarborough, the train will depart at 16:43 and will pass through Seamer (16:50), York (17:46), Church Fenton (18:04), Wakefield Kirkgate (18:35), Hebden Bridge (19:45), Todmorden (19:55), Rochdale (20:05), Manchester Victoria (20:50), Eccles (21:05), Newton-le-Willows (21:17), Rainhill (21:31), Edge Hill (21:54), Liverpool Lime Street (21:58 – Diesel hauled from here), Liverpool South Parkway (22:20), Runcorn (22:43), Hartford (23:26) and Crewe at 23:46.
