Schools booking their next trip by train can get a 20% discount

TransPennine Express (TPE) has launched a new tool which allows local schools to book train journeys in a single step alongside a 20% discount off the price of Advance Purchase tickets when travelling as a group.

Connecting cities and towns across the North and into , the TPE network provides many days out to choose from, such as ‘s Waterfront Museums, the JORVIK Viking Centre in or SEA LIFE at just to name a few.

TPE have a specialist team available to assist schools in booking advance travel, answer any questions and make sure that everyone is seated together.

Travelling by train is one of the most sustainable methods of transport with TPE committed to further cutting its carbon emissions by 30% per vehicle kilometre as soon as April 2023.

The 20% discount is available for both First and Standard Class Advance Purchase tickets and is valid for travel on any TPE service subject to availability and excluding dates affected by ongoing RMT strike action.
