David Gibson, Managing Director Hull Trains, explained: “There are activities taking place up and down the country to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years of service but we really wanted to do something that would shine a light on our own community and, in particular, an individual who goes above and beyond to make a difference all-year round.

“There are so many volunteers, fundraisers, health workers, carers and other individuals who do so much to help and inspire others, often with very little recognition. This is a fantastic way for us all to say, ‘thank you,’ and to give someone a well-deserved short break in London where they can unwind and enjoy some first-class hospitality.”
