Where to see steam locomotive 45596 Bahamas this week as it visits Preston, Chester, Shrewsbury and Cardiff

45596 Bahamas is back on the mainline this week for the first time in 2022 and will be taking part in the Great Britain tour.

Today (26th April) Bahamas moved from the to Steamtown, passing through Skipton (13:13), Hellifield (13:31), Clapham (14:21), and Carnforth at 15:00.

Tomorrow, 45596 Bahamas teams up with 45690 Leander to haul the Grange over Sands to Cardiff section of the Great Britain tour.

On the 27th April, 45690 and 45596 will depart Grange over Sands at 08:04 and will pass through Carnforth (08:20), Lancaster (09:09), Preston (09:34), (10:01), Warrington Bank Quay (10:17), Runcorn East (10:22), Helsby (10:30), Chester (10:48), Wrexham General (12:52), Shrewsbury (13:37), Craven Arms (14:21), Leominster (15:41), Hereford (15:58), (16:43), Newport (17:25) and Cardiff Central at 17:55.

Finally, on the 28th April, the duo will be replaced by 6233 Duchess of Sutherland on the tour and the duo will return north to Carnforth. Departing Barry at 08:50, the duo will pass through Cardiff (09:34), Newport (09:58), Abergavenny (10:49), Hereford (11:20), Craven Arms (12:46), Shrewsbury (13:12), Nantwich (14:06), (14:17), Warrington Bank Quay (15:51), Wigan North Western (16:11), Preston (16:45), Lancaster (17:07), and Carnforth at 17:20.
