GWR ‘Castle’ No. 7029 ‘Clun Castle’ will be on the mainline this Saturday, 9th April 2022, as it hauls a Vintage Trains railtour.
The Castle will be hauling a railtour from Tyseley to York. Note that this tour is now hauled throughout by 7029 Clun Castle (previously part diesel hauled).
The train will depart Tyseley Steam Trust at 07:54 and will then pass through Coleshill Parkway (08:21), Tamworth (08:41), Burton-on-Trent (09:00), Derby (09:18), Chesterfield (09:58), Swinton (10:44), Moorthorpe (11:01), Pontefract Baghill (11:08), Church Fenton (12:02) and York at 12:18.
After around 5 hours in York, 7029 Clun Castle will depart at 17:14 and will pass through Church Fenton (17:30), Doncaster (18:03), Mexborough (18:15), Chesterfield (19:16), Derby (19:51), Burton-on-Trent (20:29), Tamworth (20:58), Coleshill Parkway (21:29), Water Orton (21:36) and Tyseley Steam Trust at 21:58.
