There is plenty to see and do at the Llangollen Railway this weekend with a number of special services in operation.

First up is a Driver for a Fiver offer. This could be your chance to drive the Class 08 diesel shunter at Llangollen station for just £5. (You need to be 12 or older and under 16’s need to be accompanied by a parent, relative or guardian.)

If you haven’t time for a full journey along the line, then the Berwyn Shuttle is operating from Llangollen, giving passengers the chance to enjoy the Dee Gorge and perhaps take a walk to the Chain Bridge. Tickets are just £8.50 for adults.

Alternatively, full line tickets should see services hauled to Carrog by the Class 26 diesel loco 5310.
