The and Kemsley Light Railway is to bid farewell soon to Kerr Stuart ‘Leader’

It is planned for Leader to haul all trains on the narrow gauge line on Sunday and Monday (1st and 2nd May 2022).

Tickets for the weekend cost £7.50 for Adults, £6.50 for Seniors, £3.50 for Children and £21 for a return ticket or a family.

Trains depart from Sittingbourne Viaduct at 11:30, 12:30, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00.

Each journey takes around 15 minutes to the railway’s main site at Kemsley Down, where a shop, museum and cafe are based.

The reason for Leader’s retirement later in May is because it is due a 10-year overhaul.

No pre-booking is needed for tickets, just turn up and pay on the day.

More information can be found on the Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway website.
