The Severn Valley Railway has announced that SR Urie S15 No. 506 will be visiting them for their upcoming Spring Steam Gala.
506 is visiting to replace previously announced Terrier 2678, which cannot attend due to needing urgent maintenance.
However, the Severn Valley Railway hopes the Terrier can visit later in the year.
The 4-6-0 visits the Severn Valley Railway thanks to the Mid Hants Railway and is the first of its class to visit the popular heritage railway.
S15 506 joins 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley, 2999 Lady of Legend and the homefleet of the locomotives to operate an intensive timetable.
The Spring Steam Gala will run from the 21st until the 24th April 2022 with tickets available via the Severn Valley Railway website.
Michael Dunn, Head of Visitor Experience at the Severn Valley Railway said: “We’ve got an unrivalled line-up for our first steam event of the year. With just a month to go, we’re making preparations for impressive carriage formations, eye-catching double-headers and an intensive timetable.”
