Hull Trains has continued its policy of supporting local sporting organisations when Racecourse was named as an official partner.

The company will be a key sponsor of Beverley Racecourse for the duration of the 2022 racing calendar, and branding will feature prominently around the Westwood racing track and concourse.

The partnership will be launched in April at the Easter Race Day, and continue at 19 meetings through to the season finale which takes place in September. This season, over 100,000 spectators are expected to attend the racecourse in the East Riding of , where thoroughbred horse racing can be traced back 300 years.

This is the latest sporting project to be supported by Hull Trains, following announcements earlier this year of partnerships with Hull FC, Hull KR, and London Broncos.

At Beverley Racecourse, the Hull Trains logo will be displayed on advertising hoardings close to the final furlong, big screens, racecards, and at various sites around the course.

David Gibson, Managing Director, said: “Beverley is only a 15-minute journey from Paragon Station, and we have carried so many passengers to the racecourse for a day’s racing in our 21-year history, particularly those from the West Hull area.

“As with the rugby clubs we proudly sponsor, there is a very real affinity between Beverley Racecourse and Hull Trains, our passengers, and the wider East Yorkshire community, so this partnership makes sense on so many different levels.”

Chief Executive of Beverley Racecourse, Sally Iggulden, added: “Hull Trains play a crucial role in delivering our customers to East Yorkshire from all over the country. The option to travel efficiently from London has particularly been a game-changer in recent years, and we know that a warm East Yorkshire welcome will be provided as soon as the train door opens. It’s an absolute pleasure to once again be partnering with Hull Trains.”

  1. A nameplate “Beverley Racecourse” would be ideal to be put onto one of Hull Trains Class 802 Paragon IETs. And other names such as

    The Humber Bridge
    Hull KR RFC
    Hull RFC
    Hull City AFC “The Tigers”
The City of Kingston upon Hull
    Hull Paragon Interchange
    East Riding of Yorkshire

To be added onto the Class 802 Paragon IETs.
