Storm Eunice: South Western Railway, c2c and Avanti West Coast suspends ALL services

UPDATE: Avanti West Coast have now cancelled all trains due to the extreme weather

After starting the day with train services across its network, and c2c have suspended services on its entire network.

This is due to around 30 trees blocking various routes plus other objects – such as a trampoline that was removed near Norbiton.

An Avanti West Coast spokesperson said “Due to multiple weather-related incidents around the network, all Avanti West Coast services are now cancelled for the rest of Friday 18 February. Please do not come to the station. Tickets for Friday 18 February will be valid for Saturday 19, Sunday 20, Monday 21 February.”

A spokesperson for South Western Railway said ‘Do Not Attempt To Travel’.

The full statement from a South Western Railway spokesperson said “Services are suspended across the South Western Railway Network. Do not attempt to travel. We will update you when things change.”

South Western Railway isnt alone in suspending trains, with all trains in Wales suspended today (18th February).

A c2c spokesperson said “Due to multiple incidents caused by severe weather conditions, service is currently suspended. We advise passengers not to travel today.”
