The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway Preservation Society has announced that two of their steam locomotives will be making a visit to Beamish this April.
In conjunction with the Stafford family, locomotives Whillan Beck and Katie will be visiting Beamish on the weekend of 9th and 10th April.
In what is set to be an exciting weekend, Whillan Beck will be towed around the Beamish road circuit by steam traction engine Providence.
This should provide a close recreation of the original 1966 delivery of River Mite from York to Ravenglass.
Katie is set to be on static display onboard a vintage Albion lorry.
Additionally, RERPS will have their Sales Stand available, with a spokesperson saying “we look forward to seeing as many members as possible during the event.”
