Hull Trains announce the return of a full timetable as the last of the reduced services return.

From Monday the 14th of February, the 19:08 from and 07:27 from London will be back in action in order to meet increasing customer demand.

Extra carriages will also be in place from the 18th of February for services on Fridays and Saturdays, with five-car services being replaced with ten-car services.

The additional carriages come following the return of the 17:08 Hull to London King’s Cross and also the 20:30 London King’s Cross to Hull that came back on sale earlier than anticipated on the 7th of February.

reduced timetable was introduced after Christmas, following changes in customer demand as the pandemic affected the country.

The infectiousness of the Omicron variant caused significant uncertainty, leading to a large fall in passenger numbers.

The reduced timetable came just 2 weeks after Hull Trains had introduced its 94th service, which saw them reach their highest service level ever offered.

David Gibson, Managing Director, said:

“We have closely monitored passenger sales and reservations ever since we took the difficult, but necessary, decision to temporarily reduce our timetable on December 27th.

“I am delighted to announce that we are now in a position to bring back all services and can look forward to connecting even more customers across our route just in time for the February half-term school holidays.”
