The Branch Line Society has announced an unusual loco-hauled charter for a trip along the Hampshire and coast.

The Branch Line Society (BLS) has revealed that the charter will use Mark One coaching stock whilst exploring branch lines usually travelled by multiple units. This charter will see the Cliftonville Spur near Brighton, Newhaven Marine and Ore Up Siding explored.

During the charter, which is set to run on the 23rd April 2022, a raffle will be held to raise money for Trussell Trust and the BLS Buffet Car will be serving a good range of drinks, snacks and light refreshments including a selection of hand-pulled real ales.

Photography opportunities have also been put in place at the twelve reversal points along with an extended leg-stretching break at Eastbourne.
