Greater Anglia’s new episode of ‘Life on Rails’ podcast talks to Jason Brandon, brand manager who designed the rail operators new train livery, interiors and seats.
The latest podcast sees Jason talking about how much of the train’s new appearances are based on personal choice and how much is determined by brand and regulations.
Also featured in this podcast is accessibility manager Rebecca Richardson, who is dedicated to improving accessibility for every area of Greater Anglia‘s network including trains, stations, customer service and communications.
Rebecca talks about how proud she has been to be able to get disabled people involved in running training programmes for Greater Anglia, providing a voice to those with disabilities.
The podcast is a magazine-style behind the scenes programme that looks at different aspects of Greater Anglia, and this episode also includes an interview with engineering director Martin Beable who talks about his favourite green features on the new trains.
Ken Strong who is Greater Anglia’s resident fares expert also explains how to find the cheapest tickets for journeys to London for evenings out and stopovers.
The podcasts hosts are Juliette Maxam and Lucy Wright and are from the Greater Anglia PR and media team and have interviewed Julie Berry who is a professional voice over artist and the voice behind the announcements on Greater Anglia trains for the “travel surgery” section which sees a guest sent to a destination on the rail operators network.
The podcast also includes a discussion about snow and ice and how the railway keeps on moving throughout the winter season from snow brakes to icicle patrols.
Media and PR manager Juliette Maxam said:
“There are so many interesting stories to tell about what makes the railway run, we’re excited to reveal some of them in our podcast.
“Why not listen to our podcast while travelling on one of our trains? And tweet us at @GreaterAngliaPR if there’s a subject you want us to cover next time.”
The latest episode came out on Wednesday the 8th of December and can be found via the usual podcast channels and also at: http://www.greateranglia.co.uk/podcast
