Steam locomotive 7822 Foxcote Manor to haul Battlefield Line Christmas trains

The Battlefield Line, which runs from Shackerstone to Shenton, has announced that GWR Manor will be visiting them this Christmas.

The Manor will be hauling Santa Specials and Post Christmas trains at , which is a five mile long heritage railway.

7822 Foxcote Manor is visiting The Battlefield Line courtesy of The Foxcote Manor Society and the West Somerset Railway.

A spokesperson for The Battlefield Line said “We are extremely grateful to the Foxcote Manor Society and the West Somerset Railway for making the loco availability at Short notice. We hope you come and see this fine loco in action while it is with us.”

Foxcote Manor is covering at short notice for GWR Hall 6989 Wightwick Hall, which will leave Shackerstone soon as it’s owning group want to complete locomotive repairs at their own premises.

    Such a Gloriously Wonderful Locomotive to Roam the Rails of this Leicestershire Heritage Railway during the Festive/New Year Period of 2021/22.
