Managers from the rail company will be at stations on the West Anglia route between and this month to answer customers’ questions at the ‘Meet the manager’ events.

You can meet the managers between 7am and 9am at:

  • Bishops Stortford on Tuesday 2nd November
  • Cambridge station on Tuesdays 9th November, 30th November and 7th December
  • Cheshunt Station on Wednesday 17 November

Mike Barry, Head of Customer Service on the West Anglia route, said: “We’re looking forward to speaking to customers at these events.”

“A lot has changed since before the pandemic – and many commuters may not have travelled with us since March 2020.”

“We’ve now got new trains in passenger service on many of our routes – with more to come over the coming months, so we can talk about those.”

“We can explain what Greater Anglia is doing to keep people safe with enhanced cleaning and sanitisation of trains.”

“If people are unclear about the guidance about face coverings, we’re happy to talk about that too – to explain that the Government recommends and expects people to wear face coverings on busy trains and stations.”

“At our Cambridge event, we shall be talking about forthcoming engineering works on the weekend of 11 and 12 December, which will see a greatly reduced train service and buses running between Cambridge and Cambridge North.”

“There’s plenty to talk about and we’re really looking forward to having a chat with our customers.”

  1. I got a question for MD Jamie Burles. Can he sort out some stations on the Greater Anglia network including Prittlewell station in Southend-on-Sea. And to upgrade the station lot more and to replace the footbridge that links from platform 1 to platform 2 and to have better access from platform 2 to street level with widening the stairs from platform 2 to East Street, Prittlewell. And to have extra staff on hand especially when Southend United are playing at home at nearby Roots Hall. Which Prittlewell station needs more improvements.

  2. I know it isn’t the right route, but here is what I would ask

Why can’t GA sponsor a connecting bus service on Bittern line from sheringham through Holt to fakenham/dereham? With through ticketing/plusbus (using the setups on national rail website for parliamentary bus replacement, Dereham already in data set with a bus station code DEB).

Local operator Sanders does a poor job at providing connecting service..misaligned, often late, stops too early
