Alstom has transferred the three assets as part of the conditions for the clearance of the / agreement by the European Commission.

The announcement revealed an agreement to transfer Alstom’s Corardia Polyvalent platform along with their Reichshoffen production facility in France, and also their TALENT3 platform which is currently produced in Germany and will see all three moved to CAF.

CAF are happy with the arrangement which will allow its ongoing developments thanks to the skills and knowledge of the relevant sites.

CAF will maintain its investment in France solidifying its position in the country whilst the Group increases its activities in both the German and central European markets.

The divestment scheme will be subject to completion of the necessary social processes alongside consultations via employee representative bodies and regulatory approvals with the finalising of the transaction thought to be some time between April and September 2022.
