The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) has said it is going to produce a safety digest after its preliminary investigation into a collision at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
On the 21st September 2021, at around 10:32, a Class 20, No. 20189, locomotive collided with the rear of a stationary rake of passenger coaches.
The locomotive was travelling at around 10 mph and resulted in damage to the passenger train and minor injuries to five passengers.
Having completed a preliminary examination into the incident, the RAIB has said that it will be publishing a safety digest.
This Safety Digest will be available in the coming weeks
