Train operator has launched a new survey for disabled passengers to find out what improvements could be made for them.

More people are returning to rail after the pandemic and Greater Anglia would like feedback on the changes which were made during and after the pandemic and find out what challenges disabled passengers faced.

Results from the survey will be used to help prioritise future accessibility improvements on the Greater Anglia network.

The survey is open until the end of October and you can access the Greater Anglia survey here

In addition, the survey can be printed off on request at staffed Greater Anglia railway stations.

Greater Anglia’s Accessibility Manager, Rebecca Richardson, said, “There have been many changes on our trains and at our stations during the pandemic, and while we have done everything throughout to ensure staff were still able to provide assistance and reassurance for disabled customers, we know that the introduction of things like one-way systems and social distancing measures brought new challenges, or for some, represented a welcome change.

“Now that restrictions have lifted and we are welcoming back more passengers, we thought this was an opportune time to ask customers what they thought worked, what didn’t, and where we can go from here to ensure we continually improve the accessibility of the railway and ensure that people feel confident to travel with us again.”

  1. Now that I have a disability I understand how important is to doors of a train flush to the platform. I recently went to Penzance on a new Hitachi and this had been totally ignored. You would think it was so simple ………….

  2. With 133 Class 720s on order for Greater Anglia. The Class 379 Electrostars should be cascaded to Great Northern to increase more extra capacity especially on London Kings Cross-Cambridge, Ely, King’s Lynn, Cambridge North and Peterborough services.
