Steam locomotive 7029 to visit Birmingham and Swindon this Saturday

7029 Clun Castle at 75mph

GWR ‘Castle’ No. 7029 ‘Clun Castle’ will be on the mainline this Saturday, 25th September, as it hauls a Vintage Trains railtour.

The Castle will be hauling a railtour from Tyseley to Swindon.

The train will depart Tyseley Steam Trust at 08:21 and will then pass through Birmingham Moor Street (08:33), Birmingham Snow Hill (08:37), Smethwick Galton Bridge (08:51), Stourbridge Junction (09:07), Kidderminster (09:20), Droitwich Spa (09:35), Worcester Shrub Hill (09:43), Cheltenham Spa (10:29), Kemble (11:02) and Swindon at 11:26.

The return journey will see 7029 Clun Castle depart Swindon at 15:45, with the locomotive then passing through Uffington (15:57), Oxford (16:29), Heyford (17:02),  Banbury (17:18), Leamington Spa (18:01), Dorridge (18:21), Tyseley (18:29), Birmingham Moor Street (18:41), Birmingham Snow Hill (18:46), Birmingham Moor Street (19:04) and Tyseley Steam Trust at 19:17
