Hitachi Rail has shown off new innovations and products to improve reliability, safety and performance for America‘s rail network
The innovations were launched at the Railway Systems Suppliers Incs (RSSI) Communication & Signal (C&S) Exhibition as part of an improved offer to freight and passenger operators and as part of Hitachi Rail‘s bid to invest and centre their attention on the North American rail sector. The exhibition took place in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Hitachi Rail has made a commitment to being a full-service provider and is capable of supplying the ever-expanding American freight and passenger rail market, with a vision to help deliver the next rail railroad revolution.
At the RSSI C&S exhibition, Hitachi Rail display featured the following innovations and products:
- The enhanced Model 95-E gate crossing mechanism includes a new electronic control module along with dustless motor technology that eliminates maintenance problems and will give decades of reliable and safe performance.
- A new facility for Signal Design and Material Package solutions which are specifically designed for both freight and commuter rail to give engineering services and turnkey wired signal houses for wayside signalling and also crossing locations.
- A new Vital Onboard Train Control platform that unites decades of onboard experience in a modern vital platform that will improve safety and operations.
- ViPro® Vital Processor: The advanced ViPro® which is a Vital Processor for vital and non-vital wayside signalling and PTC applications which brings together core train control capabilities with next-generation communications, monitoring and analytics.
