CCTV images have been released by the British Transport Police as officers continue to investigate a serious assault at Waltham Cross station in Hertfordshire.
At 3:30pm, on Monday 6th September 2021, a man was sat on a bench on the platform at Waltham Cross when another man came towards him and engaged in a short conversation.
After the short conversation, the man walked away before returning and pulling a knife out from his trousers.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds on the platform, before both of them fell onto the tracks.
The assailant got back onto the platform and then walked away, leaving the victim with stab wounds to his head, ear and shoulder. The victim was later taken to hospital.
The police believe the man in these images can help with their investigation.

Is it worth travelling on trains if more knife crimes and stabbings does continue. And many more innocent lives have been lost because of it. It feels like it’s not safe to travel on public transport anymore.
