Steam locomotive 46115 Scots Guardsman is returning to the mainline tomorrow, as it heads a section of The Pennine Limited tour to Carlisle.

46115 will be heading from Hellifield to Carlisle and return.

The tour will depart Norwich at 05:55 behind a diesel locomotive, before heading via Wymondham (06:07), Attleborough (06:19), Thetford (06:38), Brandon (06:50), March (07:34), Peterborough (07:56), Newark North Gate (08:37), Doncaster (09:07), Shipley (10:33), Keighley (10:41), Skipton (10:55) and Hellifield Goods Loop at 11:12.

Here, 46115 Scots Guardsman is added to the train, departing at 11:56, the locomotive will head via Ribblehead (12:24), Kirkby Stephen (12:50), Appleby (13:02) and Carlisle at 14:03.

The return trip will see 46115 depart Carlisle at 15:46 before heading via Appleby (16:30), Garsdale (17:14) and Ribblehead (17:26) before heading into Hellifield at 17:45, where 46115 Scots Guardsman leaves the train.

The diesel locomotive will take over the train, and will head via Shipley (18:58), Doncaster (20:11), Peterborough (21:54), March (22:18), Brandon (23:00), Thetford (23:12), Attleborough (23:32), Wymondham (23:42) and finally Norwich (23:57).

Meanwhile, steam locomotive 46115 Scots Guardsman will form 5Z64 1755 Hellifield Goods Loops to Carnforth Steamtown, departing Hellifield at 17:55, the steam locomotive will pass Settle Junction at 19:26 and Carnforth at 20:19 and 20:30.
