Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower will be on the mainline again this Saturday, as it hauls a special railtour to Lincoln Central.
Departing Chelmsford at 07:47, the train will pass Witham (07:58), Marks Tey (08:20), Colchester (08:26), Manningtree (08:40), Ipswich (08:55), Stowmarket (09:15), Bury St Edmunds (09:38), Soham (10:20), Ely (10:32), March (10:55), Peterborough (11:16), Grantham (12:07), Newark North Gate (12:23), Lincoln Central at 12:50.
After a few hours in Lincoln, Mayflower will make her return to Chelmsford. Departing Lincoln at 16:47, the locomotive will pass through Metheringham (16:59), Spalding (17:33), Peterborough (17:59), Whittlesea (18:35), March (18:44), Ely (19:03), Bury St Edmunds (19:40), Stowmarket (20:00), Ipswich (20:11), Manningtree (20:24), Colchester (20:36), Marks Tey (20:45), Witham (20:53) and Chelmsford at 21:05.
