Mayflower steam locomotive set to visit Ipswich this Sunday

Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower will be on the mainline again this Sunday, as it hauls a special railtour for the EUR 175.

Three tours will be run by Steam Dreams on Sunday 15th August 2021.

The first trip of the day will depart Colchester at 12:00 and will pass through Manningtree (12:10), Ipswich (12:25), Stowmarket (12:53) and Bury St Edmunds (13:11).

The train will then depart Bury St Edmunds for Ipswich at 13:40 and will head to Ipswich via Stowmarket (14:04), Ipswich (14:19).

The second trip will depart Ipswich at 14:34 and head once again through Stowmarket (14:53) before arriving into Bury St Edmunds at 15:11. Heading back to Colchester, the tour will pass through Stowmarket (16:04), Ipswich (16:19) and Colchester at 16:50.

61306’s final trip of the day will be from Colchester to Norwich. Departing Colchester at 18:30, the train will pass through Manningtree (18:40), Ipswich (18:52), Stowmarket (19:`17), Diss (19:48) and Norwich at 20:15.

Mayflower will then depart Norwich at 21:06 and will pass through Diss (21:35), Stowmarket (21:42), Ipswich (22:15) and Colchester at 22:43.
