Back in June, a successful Gronk and Growler event was held at the Telford Steam Railway by the Branch Line Society.
The event saw three round trips from Horsehay and Dawley and saw haulage from Class 08 08757 as well as Class 37 37263, the latter’s first ever run in preservation.
With well over 100 passengers, the event, which was arranged at short notice, raised a huge £3000 for the Telford Steam Railway.
And now, Rail Riders have joined up with the Telford Steam Railway to hold The Gronk & The Growler 2 this month.
Taking place on the 21st and 22nd August, 08757 and 37263 return and RR members get 20% off ticket prices.
The event will see an hourly timetable in operation between 9:30 and 17:30.
This is the first time that 37263 has run in passenger service for the public to ride on.
