The Epping Ongar Railway has announced that GWR Small Prairie No. 5521 will be visiting them on long term hire.
Arriving in Late September on long-term hire, 5521 follows on from the recent announcement that London Transport-liveried GWR Pannier L92 will also be visiting the Epping Ongar Railway.
5521 has visited a number of railways and has even been abroad to haul The Orient Express.
5521 gained its London Transport livery in May 2013 at the request of London Underground, being numbered L150 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of The Metropolitan Line.
Withdrawn for an overhaul in 2016, L150 returned to steam in 2021 and will appear at the London Transport Gala Weekend, being held from the 8th to the 10th of October.
