Jurassic, a 118-year-old steam locomotive, has been back in steam at the in .

However, it wasn’t all plain sailing as unforeseen circumstances meant there was a chance her return could be cancelled.

These problems were overcome, and early on Saturday 24th July 2021, a fire was lit and steam raised, and right on schedule, the popular steam locomotive steamed out of Walls Lane with her first passengers since lockdown.

Passengers were impressed with the locomotive throughout the day, with many passengers travelling from the Midlands and West Yorkshire to join in with seaside holidays.

For the volunteers, back in steam was a result a lot of hard work for the past few months to prepare the line for reopening.

Fares for the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway are £2 for adults, £5 for a family (2 adults and three children) and under-3s go free.

Jurassic is now expected in service on Saturdays up until the 4th September 2021, with a diesel service in operation on Wednesdays until the 1st September.
