Mid Hants Railway are looking for a Locomotive Fitter Fabricator!

The Mid Hants Railway has announced that they are looking for a Locomotive Fitter Fabricator to join their team at Works in Hampshire.

A small team of paid and volunteer staff are based at Ropley to carry out maintenance and restoration work on the fleet of locomotives.

As a Locomotive Fitter Fabricator, you will be working to assist with a number of roles, including welding, plate forming, repairs, boiler washouts,  as well as other fabrication work.

The salary is dependent on your experience, but this is a full-time role with 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.

Some weekend work and bank holiday work may be required, but time off in lieu is given. Working time is 8:30 am till 17:15  with 20 days annual leave and public holidays and Christmas.

The deadline for applications for the role is the 15th August 2021, and the Watercress Line is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
