The is continuing with its “Injector Club” to raise the funds to complete the injectors needed for their new build steam locomotive, London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) P2 Class No.2007 “Prince of Wales”.

One of the projects the company is carrying out currently is building the injectors for 2007. This compromises of a live steam injector and exhaust steam injector.

Both are key components in ensuring the boiler is fed with cold water by using exhaust or live steam.

The Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings for the injectors have been completed with Martin Shepherd doing the internal components and the David Elliott from the P2 company doing the injector body.

A brand new Davies and Metcalfe Monitor live steam injector was purchased back in 2017, as part of a larger order for several steam locomotives.

In order to help fund the cost of producing these injectors, set to cost around £50,000, the P2 Steam Locomotive Company set up The Injector Club.

Members of The Injector Club will receive the following benefits:

-Opportunity to buy a ticket (seat already reserved) on one of the first trains hauled by No. 2007 Prince of Wales
-Reasonable access to No. 2007 at all times
-First choice of components to sponsor as a Dedicated Donation
-Special supporters’ day with Tornado
-Exclusive certificate signed by the design team of David Elliott, Daniela Filová and Martin Shepherd
-A limited-edition injectors coaster
-Invitation to a steam test of the new injectors.

The Club looks to find 50 people to become members to provide £1,000 (payable in full or over four payments of £250). For more information or to join The Injector Club, please click here to visit the P2Steam website for more information.
