This weekend (15th to 17th May) will see essential maintenance work being carried out on the Metrolink in Manchester.
Replacement bus services will be in operation while track work takes place near to the Cornbrook stop.
The following Metrolink lines will be affected for the duration of the works:
- Eccles/MediaCityUK Line – full closure
- Trafford Park Line – full closure
- Altrincham Line – services will operate Altrincham to Old Trafford only
- East Didsbury Line – services will operate East Didsbury to Firswood only
- Airport Line – services will operate Manchester Airport to Firswood only
- Rochdale Line – services will operate to Exchange Square
For the duration of these works, replacement buses will be in operation:
- Between Old Trafford and Piccadilly
- Between Chorlton and Victoria
- Between Eccles and Piccadilly
- Between The Trafford Centre and Deansgate-Castlefield

Transport for Greater Manchester’s Head of Metrolink Danny Vaughan said: “We regularly carry out renewal work on Metrolink as part of a continued programme to maintain the safety and reliability of the network.
“Unfortunately, these works will mean some short-term inconvenience for some passengers that weekend and I’d encourage anyone travelling to plan their journey in advance and allow extra time where possible.”
