Black 5 steam locomotives to pass through Carlisle this Monday

Steam locomotives No.45212 and 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’ will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Carlisle and Rannoch on Monday 12th April 2021.

The Black 5 locomotives are on an empty carriage stock movement from Steamtown to Fort William J Yard TC, in preparation for this years Jacobite season.
Please Note: A Class 37 locomotive may lead the consist to Fort William.

The steam locomotives will depart the Carnforth Steamtown at approximately 04:26 and will then pass through Carnforth (04:51), (06:31), Tebay (06:47), Penrith North Lakes (07:09), Carlisle (07:31), Lockerbie (09:19), Carstairs (10:34), Shieldmuir (10:51), (10:56), Coatbridge Central (11:27), (13:28), Dumbarton Central (13:41), Helensburgh Upper (15:10), (15:29), Arrochar & Tarbet (15:58), Ardlui (16:20), Crianlarich (16:44), Upper Tyndrum (17:50), Bridge of Orchy (18:09), Rannoch (18:40), Tulloch (19:19), Spean Bridge (19:41) and Fort William J Yard TC at 20:13.
