The Railway Mania Podcast now features the General Steam Navigation Locomotive Restoration Society.
The 90-minute episode features three of the trustees of the GSNLRS, these being Andrew Collet, Steve Rapley (CME) and Graham Muspratt.
Joining them was Corwin Bainbridge to discuss the project, which is restoring 35011 back to its original condition with chain-driven valve gear and air-smoothed casing.
Railway Mania’s podcast looks at the project in detail and the trustees answer questions and discuss the history of 35011 as well as the main issues coming from the project to rebuild the loco back into its original condition.
You can view the podcast below:
The society is currently appealing for people to become a Trailing Truck Transformer to raise funds needed to overhaul the fabricated trailing truck for use on 35011.
More information can be found on the GSNLRS website.
