Trains operators West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway are advising passengers to plan ahead as resurfacing work on Lichfield Trent Valley Station’s car park will mean reduced parking for cars.
The station in Staffordshire provides services to Birmingham as well as longer journeys on the West Coast Mainline between London and Scotland.
Starting Monday 1st of March for two weeks, the work will see the access roads, pedestrian footpaths along with the car park resurfaced.
Pedestrian and vehicle access will be maintained throughout the work and train services will not be affected.
Customer Experience Director for West Midlands Railway Jonny Wiseman said: “The car park and approach road at Lichfield Trent Valley have seen better days and this work will ensure a more attractive and smoother welcome to the station for our customers.
“At the moment train travel remains reserved for essential journeys only, which means it is a good time to complete this work with fewer people currently using the railway.”
