The Epping Ongar Railway has announced that they are unable to operate trains during February half term due to the current Coronavirus restrictions.
Currently, all services are suspended at the Epping Ongar Railway, and the management team are watching for developments as to when trains can resume and what events can take place.
Once again, the Epping Ongar Railway does not have an income source but still needs money to complete maintenance to track, bridges, stations, rolling stock and their fleet of locomotives.
The railway’s £200,000 Appeal is still active, so if you would like to donate, please visit the Epping Ongar Railway’s website.
The Epping Ongar Railway said: “We look forward to welcoming you all on board for a journey through the Essex countryside on the longest heritage railway in Essex, and the closest to London. We must also ensure that the Railway is ready to operate safely and efficiently when we are finally able to reopen. Please do consider whether you are able to assist us by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated by the volunteers.”
