TransPennine Express is now taking applicants for their Transform Grants Fund, with the potential to receive up to £5,000.
The Fund aims to support various causes, with last year seeing an outdoor adventure programme at Southgate School in West Yorkshire, a book quest project by the National Literacy Trust and a new learning centre for the Whirlow Hall Farm Trust in Lincolnshire all benefiting from the Fund.
Community groups, clubs, schools, charities and anyone who permits open access to their land can submit applications before 5 pm on Friday 7th of February 2021 via TransPennine Express’ website.
Following TPE staff and customers choosing which causes they feel deserve the funds, the successful applicants will be announced.
Interim Managing Director for TransPennine Express Liz Collins said “I’m thrilled that the latest Transform scheme is now open for applications and would encourage organisations and individuals who need support for their plans to apply.
“The pandemic has had an enormous impact on so many people, and it is key that we support initiatives and projects across our local communities.”
