A team of cleaners are working hard to keep passengers safe across the North in the run-up to Christmas.
Sanitation Busters have worked tirelessly in the last eight months to keep touchpoints on trains clean and safe for passengers and staff.
There are 20 sanitation teams at TransPennine Express and the teams have now spent the equivalent of more than two years cleaning the trains in just 6 months to make sure trains are clean in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Emma Teale, Customer Experience Manager at TPE, has been spot-checking carriages before passengers board trains.
TPE has recently announced an investment of £1.7M in an enhanced cleaning programme.
Customer Experience Manager for TransPennine Express Emma Teale said: “I couldn’t be prouder of our team of sanitation saviours. We can’t thank them enough for the job they have been doing to help keep our customers safe during this year.”
“We’re thrilled that we can further support the team with a £1.7M investment that will ensure the creation of jobs across the North. “
