The Bulleid Society has released a short update on the work progressing to overhaul steam locomotive 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair.
Sir Archibald Sinclair is currently based at the Bluebell Railway in East Sussex.
34059 is currently on accommodation bogies after being lifted off its own wheels earlier in the year.
The locomotive is now just a chassis, and the plan is to steam clean the chassis and then start painting the chassis back its pristine condition.
All of the pistons and valves have now been removed and the bores have been measured.
Different parts of the locomotive are now being inspected by The Bulleid Society and work will progress on these where needed, with the aim of seeing 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair hauling passenger trains once again in the future.
