Southeastern has announced its plans to implement a reduced timetable due to the current lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
From Monday 16th November 2020, the operator will introduce the new timetable.
This new timetable reflects the reduction in passenger demand and the need for some frontline staff to self-isolate.
It should help avoid short-notice cancellations if more staff are affected by the virus.

This reduced timetable will be in operation until further notice, with more details available on the online journey planners from Thursday 12th November.
Scott Brightwell, Train Services Director for Southeastern, said: “Throughout the pandemic, we’ve continually monitored passenger numbers and responded with adjustments to our timetable. The slight reduction to services this winter will also ensure that the number of services better meets changed patterns of demand.
“Where necessary, further adjustments will be made to support social distancing on busier routes as part of our safer travel pledge to ensure that if you need to, you can travel with confidence.”

I’ve used Southeastern many times and their services are really good.
Is Southeastern going to keep the Class 376s when the Class 707s have been cascaded from South Western Railway. Or will it replace the Class 376s and perhaps cascade it to Southern to replace the Class 455 and Class 313. With the Class 701 scheduled to enter service from next year.
