The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is preparing itself for winter fun this December, with Santa Specials and Festive dining trains all planned to run before Christmas.
Families should hop aboard a heritage steam train to help Santa and his elves save Christmas; these will operate on weekends in December as well as the 21st-24th December. Departing Pickering, passengers will see Santa and enjoy entertainment from his helpers before travelling to Levisham.
Santa steam trains will depart Pickering at 09:15, 11:15, 13.15 and 15:15 on December 5th and 6th, 12th and 13th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Tickets for the Santa Specials are priced at £100 per compartment (for up to four people), and £25 per additional adult. More details can be found by visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway website by clicking here.
The railway has also released details of its Christmas Pullman dining trains and the menu. Passengers can choose from smoked salmon parcels, chicken liver pate, festive turkey, roast beef and Christmas pudding with rum sauce.
The Christmas Moorlander departs Grosmont on selected dates in December and January, with prices starting at £145 for a table of two. More details can be found by visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway website by clicking here.
