As England prepares to enter its second lockdown of 2020, Grand Central has made the decision to suspend all rail services from the end of Friday 6th November 2020.
Passengers travelling between the 7th November and 2nd December can claim a full refund or change their travel date.
Tickets are still on sale for travel from the 3rd December 2020.
Like Hull Trains, Grand Central is an Open Access Operator and does not have any financial support from the Government, so income is solely from ticket sales.
This new lockdown will bring a fall in passenger numbers, meaning it is no longer viable to run Grand Central trains.
With no trains operating, some of the train crew and staff will be placed on furlough.

Why not let the government take over the Grand Central franchise as well Hull Trains. As what they have done with Northern.
