Transport for Wales has issued a reminder to passengers that journeys on public transport should only be made if essential during the ‘firebreak’ lockdown.
Introduced on Friday, the ‘firebreak’ lockdown lasts until Monday 9th November.
Restrictions on all travel in Wales are in place, and reduced services are in operation on some lines. Passengers should check online for more information if their journey is essential.
Trains which run from Wales to England or trains in England operated by Transport for Wales will run to their current timetable; however, passengers will still need to check the restrictions in the areas they are travelling to/from.
James Price, Transport for Wales CEO said; “The safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority at Transport for Wales, and we fully support the Welsh Government in their restrictions to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.
“During the restriction period, public transport will be for essential travel only, and we’ll be running fewer services.”
