Passengers are being reminded to check their journey details this week and engineering works are taking place at Leeds railway station.
On Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November, much of the station will be closed to allow work to continue of creating Platform Zero.
Buses will replace trains on key routes, affecting trains to Guiseley, Bradford Interchange, York, Doncaster, Sheffield, Horsforth, Pontefract Monkhill, Knottingley, Castleford, Wakefield and Huddersfield.
The £161m project to create Platform Zero is due to be completed by the end of the year and will see more capacity for trains at the station.
This weekend signalling systems and overhead line equipment will be upgraded. In addition Platform 1 will be reopening to passengers on Monday 2nd November.
Matt Rice, North and East Route Director for Network Rail, said: “This exciting work at Leeds station will create the first new platform at the station in nearly 20 years. The short-term disruption over this weekend allows us to get one step closer to establishing long-lasting benefits for passengers including more frequent and reliable journeys that Platform Zero will provide.
“We’ve made sure that there will be a comprehensive bus replacement plan in place so that you can still get to where you need to go. However, we would strongly advise you to check National Rail Enquiries or your local train operators’ website before you travel and we thank you in advance for your understanding.”

Nice to see Leeds station to have a brand new platform 0. Could other stations have platform 0 in the future.
Was thinking if Norwich could do with a new platform 0 to accommodate the Class 745 Flirts working on the Liverpool Street-Norwich intercity service. And to relieve some pressure and congestion.
So platform 0 will be used for trains terminating at Leeds from Doncaster, Hull, York and London Kings Cross. And to free up the capacity for trains heading in & out of Leeds to Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria, Liverpool Lime Street, Sheffield and the Midlands.
