Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado will be on the mainline again this Saturday as it heads a railtour to Liverpool Lime Street.

Departing North Road at 08:25, the train will pass through Darlington (08:31), Thirsk (09:04), York (09:35), Church Fenton (09:53), Wakefield Kirkgate (10:34), Brighouse (11:05), Hebden Bridge (11:47), Rochdale (12:04), Miles Platting (12:20), Manchester Victoria (12:27), Eccles (12:45), Newton-le-Willows (13:01), Huyton (13:13), Edge Hill (13:26) and Liverpool Lime Street (13:30),

Tornado will then head to Preston to be serviced – heading via Roby (13:54) and Wigan North Western (14:16) before arriving into Preston at 15:04. After servicing, Tornado will head back via Wigan North Western (16:45) and Edge Hill (17:26) to get back to Liverpool Lime Street. PLEASE NOTE: The servicing moves may be hauled by a West Coast Railways heritage diesel.

The return journey will depart Liverpool Lime Street at 17:40 and will then pass through Edge Hill (17:44), St Helens Central (18:02), Wigan North Western (18:27), Blackburn (19:11), Accrington (19:20), Burnley Manchester Road (19:28), Hebden Bridge (19:55), Brighouse (20:10), Wakefield Kirkgate (20:59), Church Fenton (21:25), York (21:42), Thirsk (22:12), Northallerton (22:27), Darlington (22:43) and Darlington North Road at 22:53.

These are advised timings, however, we must reiterate, you must not trespass on the railway. Please keep to public access points, such as stations! It is illegal and dangerous if your trespass on to the railway. Additionally, if you have coronavirus symptoms, do not head out for this tour.
