Steam locomotive 34046 Braunton will be in Shrewsbury this Thursday as it completes a loaded test run from Crewe.
Crew training and a test run means that locals will get their steam fix as it heads through Chester and Stafford.
Please note: this is a light engine movement, and can be subject to change, delay or cancellation at short notice.
Departing Crewe H.S. at 09:30, 34046 will pass through Crewe (10:01), Chester (10:38), Wrexham General (11:00), Gobowen (11:14), Shrewsbury (11:42), and Coton Hill TC at 11:57.
After servicing, 34046 will depart Coton Hill TC at 12:42 and will pass through Shrewsbury (12:47), Shrewsbury Abbey Foregate (12:50), Cosford (13:20), Stafford (14:44), Madeley (15:02) and Crewe at 15:21.
PLEASE NOTE: 34046 Braunton heads through areas affected by lockdown by the Welsh Government – please follow guidance if you are in these areas.
