Motion Appeal launched for steam locomotive 5551 The Unknown Warrior

The LMS Patriot Project has announced that they have launched a new appeal to allow the group to complete major work on the motion for new-build steam locomotive 5551 The Unknown Warrior.

The group are offering those who have yet to qualify for a ticket on the first train to be hauled by 5551 The Unknown Warrior (by making donations worth £1500), the chance to win a ticket.

This new appeal is looking for 500 people to join the 5551 Club by donating £55.51, and once the total is reached, a winner of the ticket will be announced.

For those who already have a ticket, you can still enter, and if you win, you can bring your partner or a friend with you on the historic journey.

However, if you just want to donate £55.51 to , then you can feel free to do so!

5551 The Unknown Warrior is being built, with more than £3m raised so far, and is currently being completed at The West Shed.
