The Nene Valley Railway has recently seen one locomotive arrive and one locomotive leave the railway.
Great Western Railway 5700 Class No.4612
Visiting the NVR on loan from Bodmin and Wenford Railway, steam locomotive 4612 will haul trains along the heritage railway alongside home fleet engines such as Southern Railway Battle of Britain Class No.34081 “92 Squadron”.
The NVR has resumed running trains to Peterborough from Wansford Station, with tickets needing to be booked before travel.
Coronavirus safety measures are in place to ensure safety for staff, volunteers and passengers.
Austerity No.3193
Now roughly one year into its current boiler ticket, 3193 has returned back to Bressingham Steam and Gardens where the engine is based.
Unfortunately, the engine has not been used in traffic on the NVR as much as anticipated due to COVID-19.
For more information, to book tickets or support the Nene Valley Railway while they recover from the impacts of COVID-19, please visit their website here.
